Projects
Led by permaculture, eco-friendly construction and agroecology we are responsible for several projects. Tierra BellBaum, Rancho Mila, Finca Albenka and Finca Tropical Garden present different requirements.
However, the synergy between all projects is achieved through the team, the products and tourism. All these efforts are a mean to spread positive social, environmental and financial practices in order to consolidate sustainability.
In addition to the Tierra BellBaum projects with many delicious products and good services, we also have the responsibility for a small plot in Caña-Junin.
This gem with its wonderful energy represents our center of peace and reflections. We like to share our experiences, mistakes and results of the last years with our visitors.

Since 2016 until 2021 we have been designing the fields, the animal and the touristic spaces of the ranch using permaculture techniques. Amazing results regarding soil quality show that Banana Circles are a great tool to create and enhance soil.
Bananas together with other fruit trees compose a tasty food forest. The crops are benefited by the flowers incorporated in the landscape. The colorful flora attracts pollinators, which play an important role in the production of animal crops and fruits.

In 2016, the South-Tyrolean Richard and Christian acquired a piece of the tropic. Literally, they made their dream come true, and decided to name the land “Finca Albenka” after their children. The finca has a picturesque banana plantation complemented by bamboos and many kinds of citrus trees.
Together with our team we have helped to increase the variety of fruits and timber. Christian and Richard desired that coffee and cacao crops grow also in Albenka. For them it is such a privilege to share with their friends in Europe the good “home produced” coffee and chocolate.

A friend passionate about the amazing nature of Ecuador is who trusts the management of his finca to Tierra BellBaum. Tropical Garden belongs to the cofounder of “Green Panda”, a company aimed at offering organic superfoods to the European market.
Various permaculture techniques have been implemented on the farm, focusing on the construction of terraces so as to control and prevent erosion. In addition, coffee plants and several fruit trees were established. Tropical Garden has a beautiful and colorful bamboo house, in which the worker and his family placidly live.
